June 15th – July 15th 2024

Sende invites 5 artists and cultural professionals to stay in our mountain village in Northern Spain.

Dates: June 15th // July 15th 2024

We will cover your travel costs*, accommodation and you will receive up to 750€ to cover your food and pocket money costs.

Apply here.

Application deadline: April 25th 2024, 18:00 Madrid time

MAIN TOPIC:

Mapping cultural heritage around our village to build/create a sort of digital interactive map.

However, we will come up with the final idea all together.

IMPORTANT:

It means that we are looking for artists with completely different skills who are comfortable to work in a team.

In the free time you may work on smaller individual projects.

The call is open for artists and creatives living in one of the Creative Europe countries except Spain (unfortunately, these are rules of the programme). If one Spaniard wants to take part, they should prove that they moved to live in one of these countries.

This means that if you get selected you will need to prove that you have legal residency in any Creative Europe country.

WHERE

You will be hosted in Sende, one of the first rural co-working and coliving spaces in the world. A tiny village with only 20 inhabitants where creatives from all over the planet come to work on their projects. Sende’s website and Instagram.

During your stay you will be accommodated in a shared or a private room. In Sende we all cook every day. It means that you will use one of our kitchens to prepare your breakfast and lunch, while you can sign up to cook dinners for the whole group (unless we go out for dinners in nearby villages).

SPACES

You may use 2 co-working spaces and gardens to work on the main project, but also a tool workshop where we have a bunch of basic tools to work on wood, metal, plastic.

This experience is about contrasts. A typical Galician countryside life while working on the art by using technology (or not).

MENTORSHIP

Nemanja Knežević will be the mentor on the project who will facilitate the group creation process.

Nemanja Knežević is a Belgrade-born Berlin-based freelance photographer, a former scout and nowadays a passionate mountaineer. nk.rs
